About Online Clipboard

Online Clipboard is a free tool for moving text between your own devices. Paste something on your phone, and copy it on your computer minutes later — no account, no app, no emailing yourself.

What we set out to build

Copy and paste is the most used feature on any device, yet it stops working the moment you switch screens. Most fixes are heavyweight: accounts, apps, or manufacturer lock-in. We wanted the lightest possible solution — a web page that behaves like one clipboard shared by the devices you connect.

The result is a service with three rules: save once and copy anytime, connect devices with a short code, and never ask for an account.

How the service works

Your text is stored in a clipboard identified by a 6-character code. A device that enters the code is bound to the clipboard and reconnects automatically on later visits. Saved changes sync between connected devices every couple of seconds, and the most recent save wins. Content stays under your control with Clear, Cancel link, and New code.

Privacy by design

The service deliberately has no accounts and no profiles. Clipboard text is private to the devices that know its code, and device recognition uses a pseudonymous browser identifier rather than personal data. Read the Privacy Policy for details, and remember the golden rule: never store passwords or sensitive information in a shared clipboard.

How we stay free

Online Clipboard is funded by unobtrusive advertising on content pages. The tool itself remains free with no sign-up, no premium tier, and no data selling.
